VPN Tracker Licensing FAQs

Existing VPN Tracker user? Effortlessly manage plans and subscription settings via your my.vpntracker account. This guide takes you through some of the most common licensing FAQs.


What is the difference between Personal and Team subscriptions?

The my.vpntracker portal is split into Team and Personal views:


If you are using VPN Tracker as part of a team and have multiple users and licenses, select the Team view. If you are using VPN Tracker as a single user - i.e. without other team members - you will find all of your subscription information in the Personal view under My Subscriptions.

Note: VPN Tracker teams also have the option to add a free "Billing" role for accounting and admin purposes.


How to renew expired plans

If you have deactivated auto-renewals and your plan has expired, you can purchase a new plan to replace your old one.

Go to your Subscriptions page, locate the expired plan, and click "Purchase new licenses" to be directed to the store.



How to upgrade to a different VPN Tracker edition

Cross upgrade an existing VPN Tracker license to VPN Tracker Pro, VIP or Consultant and unlock access to new features, VPN protocols, and connection storage, or to VPN Tracker+ for VPN support on iOS devices.


Upgrade a personal subscription

Go to the Cross-Upgrade Store, select a new VPN Tracker edition to upgrade to and the remaining balance of your old plan will be pro-rated to your new plan.




Upgrade a team member's subscription

Open your team's Subscriptions page. Under the heading "Upgrade team member plans", choose an upgrade option for one or multiple team members.

Once you've selected licenses, your plan will be automatically adjusted with the new price and a new, consolidated end date.




Add new users to an existing team plan

If you'd like to add new users, you'll need to add new licenses to your current team plan first.

Open your team's Subscriptions page and go to "Add additional licenses". Here you can select the quantity of licenses you need for your new users and add them to your current team plan.

A new, consolidated plan will be created for this subscription. When you invite new users, available licenses will be automatically assigned.



How to co-term plans

If your team already has multiple plans with varying end dates, you can combine these into one unified plan with a single end date.

Open the Subscriptions overview, go to Checkout and select Buy now to combine your current subscriptions into one unified plan with a single end date.




How to use VPN Tracker on iPhone & iPad

Upgrade your VPN Tracker for Mac plan to a VPN Tracker Executive, Pro or VIP plan to use VPN Tracker on iPhone and iPad.

Upgrade for iOS support

Go to the Cross-Upgrade Store, select a VPN Tracker Execuitve, Pro, VIP or Consultant edition to upgrade to and the remaining balance of your old plan will be pro-rated to your new plan.




Add iOS support to a team member's subscription

Open your team's Subscriptions page. Under the heading "Upgrade team member plans", choose an Upgrade-Opton with iOS support for one or multiple team members.
